You can ask us to delete your CourtPass account and the personal information attached to it. You can do this here, or from Settings → Delete account in the CourtPass app. You do not need the app installed to use this page.
What is deleted
- Straight away: you are signed out on every device and your password stops working. Your email address is freed, so you can use it for a new account later.
- Also straight away: your name, phone number, door PIN, Sign in with Apple link, notification preferences, device push tokens and calendar links.
- A recurring membership is cancelled with the account. If we can’t stop the billing automatically, we tell you and nothing is deleted until it is stopped.
- What remains of the account is scheduled for erasure 45 days after you make the request. The delay lets us resolve any outstanding payment or facility-access matter.
What we keep, and why
Some records cannot be erased on request because we are required to keep them, or because they are not solely about you:
- Financial and booking transaction records — retained to meet Australian tax and accounting obligations, attached to a “Deleted User” account that no longer holds your name, email or phone number.
- Facility access and incident records — where an operator needs them for safety, insurance or legal reasons.
- Records of consent — evidence of what you agreed to and when.
- Messages you sent in team or club chats — they are part of other people’s conversations. Email us if you want specific messages removed.
- Payment records held by our payment providers (Stripe, Airwallex) under their own retention rules. We do not hold your full card number at any point.
Our Privacy Policy describes what we collect and how it is handled.
Before you start
You cannot delete your account while you have an upcoming booking. Cancel any upcoming bookings first, then come back — otherwise the request is declined and nothing changes. Deleting your account cancels a recurring membership; you won’t be able to sign back in afterwards, so download anything you want to keep first. If you pay a recurring academy fee for a child, ask the club to stop it or move it to another guardian first.
Request deletion
Sign in first so we know which account to delete. We ask for this because the request permanently removes data, and we must be sure it is coming from the account holder.
Can’t sign in? Reset your password, then come back to this page. If you no longer have access to your email address, email us at privacy@courtpass.com.au from any address and we will verify your identity another way.
